AESD Board Exchange

The ESD 123 Board of Directors welcomed three visiting board members on March 22, 2007. Ken Seng and Jackie Smith of ESD 121, along with Bill Baumann of ESD 112, toured ESD 123, met with ESD 123 leaders to learn about the organization, and attended the board meeting that evening.
The visit was part of an AESD program called Board Exchange, an effort to bring Washington's ESD board members together to learn from and strengthen each other. Several ESD 123 board members will travel to other Washington ESD board meetings in the near future as part of the collaborative effort.
Participants were thrilled with the opportunity for the exchange. "This is one of the best experiences I have ever had as a board member," said Jackie Smith of ESD 121. "The conversations are invaluable...I hope we are able to continue this for years to come."
