ESD 101’s Ramsay honored by NCCEDeb Ramsay, ESD 101’s chief information officer and director of technology services, has been presented the coveted Making It Happen award from the Northwest Council for Computer Education (NCCE). She received the award at the council’s 38th annual conference in Portland. Making It Happen is an internationally recognized awards program for educators in the field of educational technology. The program identifies and rewards educational leaders for their commitment to technology integration in K-12 schools. Ramsay was specifically cited for her innovation and leadership in developing a regional Internet safety program. “Deb has successfully worked with educators, parents, school resource officers, political leaders and students to bring awareness of online safety issues and the risk students take,” said NCCE Executive Director Heidi B. Rogers. “No one can connect the dots to organize and reach a large audience better than Deb Ramsay.” NCCE is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting effective uses of technology in education. Each year, it hosts the largest educational technology conference in the Pacific Northwest. |
